Great post. If you were to rewrite the goal-tending interference rule, how would you define it?

The players today are really good at making purposeful contact look accidental. They do a lot slew footing that somehow rarely gets called.

The one goal Canada scored against the US was goaltender's interference. I suspect that bias on that goal was at play. It is unreasonable not to have either refs from other countries or at least some American ones in a game like that. If anything at least it would have better optics.

Paul can you explain to me why games such as NA vs Sweden are called the way that one was? I see this happen in the NHL on a regular basis and I suspect it has to do with the fact the game is about entertainment. But I was entertained and would have been so to watch those kids dominate on a seemingly never ending power play.
