Umm.. Ok.. We had this very blog 1 to 1/2 months ago, it was up for like all of an hour before it disappeared , and all subsequent inquires about what happened were met with dead air. So I'm putting you to task Todd, and asking you to man up. What really did happen, and why the same blog again?!

Net haul was Vasilevsky, Drouin, Puljujaarvi, a couple of firsts and a couple of seconds.

Acquired Gibson in the off-season, flipped Vasilevsky for Duclair, signed Tyler Johnson, Karl Alzner and Jared Cowan (83 rating?!?)

I also got Gaudreau and Money signed inside of a week.

Make me GM of the Flames already Burkie, I will bring the Flames to the promised land!!

Their ratings suck. There's no difference between a scrub 4th liner and a good 2nd liner. 3-5 points difference in overall rating is nothing.


They should take a page out of Madden's or NBA2K's rating system where the bad players actually suck.

So I take it you just sim all the games, but don't actually play?! I have thousands of hours in the EA sports NHL series of games, but they started to screw with it so much, with completely different play styles between years that I haven't touched the series in years. Maybe I might pick up a copy this year, we'll see...

Most of the games fan base has been saying that for years and years, but they don't really give a poop what you think. That's part of the reason I stopped playing, and I was a die hard player of the franchise.

The diference between the high end players and low end ones is typically made up in the offensive and defensive awareness stats. You'll notice these players who score well in these stats play at the top of your line up and produce significantly more. The overall ranking tends to have you view these players in the wrong light.

The first season I usually do- I like to draft and deal and then get into playing.

I'm sure if the goalies start doing well in the first couple weeks they will adjust the ratings and make them higher in the next roster update
