Personally I just think he's out of gas. Mind's there, body's not. Now, that said.. wouldn't be surprised if somebody reaches out to him if he plays well in WCOH. The fact that he has not signed elsewhere yet (the DEL, to be exact) is proof that he really wants to find a way to make it work in the NHL. Like, Marcel Goc for example, he had plenty of PTO offers from NHL clubs, but instead opted for a four-year deal in Germany. Seidenberg hasn't done that yet, so he still wants to be here.
Obviously, families and things like that have a lot to do with it (he lives in NJ in the offseason), but who knows. I wouldn't be totally surprised if some basement team grabs him with the hopes of flipping him at the deadline. |

Makes sense. Wish the best for him. Guy was an absolute workhorse. Wish we still had a couple more years of the 2011 version of him. |
