I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised to see Pacioretty on the top line for team USA... he's been one of the best 5 goal scorers in the NHL in the last few years and is also considered very responsible defensively.

Yeah, I think he deserves this spot over the others LWS. I used to like Parise a lot, but the guy is slowing down a little. |

He got a lot of crap thrown at him by the media / fans last year - some deserved, most not. Prior to that, there would have been no question (from a Habs fan perspective) that he would be a first line winger for USA.
Lately, they seem to think of him as Toronto treated Kessel. |
