Seabrook in his prime would be a good fit (obviously) but he's not that player anymore

Aka he can attempt the Yakupov ruse which was claiming he had made the Oilers and then loaning him to the KHL during the lockout even though he was obligated to play in the OHL. Now that worked during the lockout...so I doubt it would be viable now...but it would be funny

Give him the Jared McCann treatment, around 50 games with some easier assignments. Let him build up his man-strength for another year.

Can't see them sending him down so it will either be that or also possible he jumps right in as is ready.. or they can protect him as much as possible either way he will be with the leafs gotta figure. OHL makes zero sense, to me at least

It really has a multiplier effect down the lineup, taking heat off a Marner, off everybody really. There's no one guy who's supposed to be the 'saviour', there's a bunch of talented guys now. It's a huge change.

I couldn't imagine picking 5th in this past draft. Just miss out on a franchise player....
