Somethign I learned with the Avs signed Rene Bourque to a PTO. You need to have a certain amount of Vets dressed for Pre-Season games.

So if a club has quite a few players in the World Cup, chances are they wont be playing many or the vast majority of the pre-season games, or if the plan is to rest some of the signed vets.....you need guys like Higgins, Bourque, etc just to conform to the vets requirement

Get the man a Tbone, a dip of Skoal, and shot if Alberta Springs and see what happens.

I just dont know what or how many games played that someone is considered a vet, so a super young team with multiple ELCs might have a hard time meeting the vet requirement too?

I liked Jack Skille last year for the Avs coming off a PTO, he was decent speed on the 4th line. Was effective the 1st half of the season, disappeared the 2nd half.

This is surprising to me too

Maybe he has an agreement with BT based on how much Johnny signs for ...the more money available maybe he gets a little more on his salary

Nothing wrong with taking a look and seeing what he brings.
I doubt he makes the team, but that's okay. We'll take a look in training camp and preseason and send him on his way. Unless he plays so unreal he earns a spot, but I dom't think anyone is expecting that.

Got Stefan diggs late in a draft ...was hoping for a breakout year ...now teddy is out long term the Vikings can kiss their season good bye and I doubt diggs does sweet (frank) all now

Yep, pretty much nailed it. Hopefully he proves he can still play well enough to get offered a contract from some other team.

Worst case: he goes to Europe and lives like a king running at 1ppg in a lesser league.
