Kucherov, Trouba and Nesterov are all unsigned RFAs in this tournament. I wonder whether it is worth the risk of getting injured to play even if the tournament has some player insurance based on contract. Unsigned players are likely insured based on previous contract which definitely is too low for the players listed.

I will root for Canada (1st) and North America (2nd). I would have bought tickets but earlier on they required buying slate of games that I wasn't really interested in and now single game tickets are not great seats considering the prices.

I kinda wonder how much potential there is for hockey to grow...

It's only limited to a number of countries right now. I know it doenst rank very high outside of Europe and N. America, but it would be cool if Argentina or New Zealand started developing players..

They'll crush every team.

I really think NA is going to be the best team. They'll be the most loose team having the most fun. Just the way they galvanize around McDavid at these tournaments is pretty cool. He's a very relaxed leader, almost reminds me of Sakic. Drouin will continue his hot play too..

I want to see McDavid and Matthews as 1C & 2C.. But Sheifs will be the 2C... And Monahan 3C.. So i guess its possible they move Matthews to the wing..

Great point about insurance - Kucherov and Trouba especially.

Hasn't been much talk about the Bolts here since they signed Stamkos (Probably because of all the hurt butts) Yzerman did perform magic in signing Stammer and Hedman to way undervalued contracts. There is still trouble coming though after they pay Kucherov his $6 million or so will be not much left for Nesterov, Johnson, Drouin and Bishop. Might be some trading on the horizon.
