1. Where did you hear they made an offer?
2. You can't be serious re the contract. He's 28, and never dreamed he would be in a position to set himself and his family up for life, when he was cut by the Rags and traded by the Canucks. When the opportunity presented itself for him to sign for more money, and for longer term, he would have been a complete idiot to pass it up, regardless of who his favorite team is.
3. I'm right. Don't argue.

Let's say the Habs were offering 3 years at 2M per, that's 6M total. So the guy, as a Habs fan, should have spit on the 3.4M more the Flyers were offering to play in Montréal? That's, sorry, a stupid statement. Had he been offered something similar, say 4 years at 2.25 per, that's 800k less total, that would have made sense to accept less to play where he wanted (and then call him out if he refused). But to call him a hypocrite because he didn't take the offer that gave him, at the very least, 2M less with the Habs is a hypocritical statement in itself. Not that I wanted Weise to sign here, I think we have plenty of players to replace him, but attacking his character like that seems gratuitous.

I'd have to agree with Howard's post.

You wanna know another reason he won't be missed?

They have roughly 27 guys under contract for the 3rd line..

yes people tend to look AAV of contracts rather than the total value, because all they care about is the cap. players and agents are the exact opposite.

Lower taxes and more money. He's a grown up, it's cute he has a favourite team and stuff but he's taking care of business for his family and himself.

Actually, I don't see what the problem with it is. I mean, I disagree completely with the content, but it's not poorly written.

I'll give him that.

Let me point out a couple of things.

1- Weise his no longer part of the Habs... since the trade dead line. No need to blog about him now.
2- He offers his opinion (that nobody really cares about) and proceeds to insulting Weise. No need to blog about this.
3- He'd be the first one to quit his marketing job for another better paid marketing job.
4- Out of all the things he could write about (PK not named to team Canada, world cup, Habs expansion draft, the new pro scout, a trade sending a heavy cap player that could be an inspiration for shipping out a big Habs contract player under 5'8), he writes about a Stu Cowan interview and offers us is opinion?

5- I don't enjoy anthing
