All of these salary dumps being taken on by Arizona you'd have to think they'd take a flyer on Bailey? Is Snow reluctant to trade this waste of space?

It's crazy Cpt. Bailey should have been moved already.

I agree the Islanders will not be pure contenders until they get rid of the trash. Once that happens I see things bright for them

This team is run by Snow who has a history of keeping players way past their expiration date. Case in point, Miro Satan

Bailey is snows first draft pick. So he doesn't want to give him up. Any GM that puts business before personal feelings would've gotten rid of Bailey a long time ago. Almost 9 years of this bum is enough

Actually Mark Katic was Snow's first draft pick

This isn't a yard sale. Another man's garbage does not mean another man's treasure. Some players you are just stuck with for the duration of their contracts.

There have been worse contract than Bailey that have been moved. I really do not think Garth has tried at all. Have to think at least one coach thinks he can get more out of Bailey than Cappy has gotten.

My point is the yotes seem to be taking on some real garbage and actually paying for it. You have to wonder if Snow is reluctant to part with Mr Invisible. I know he values his "defensive game".

Exactly Cpt. We are not talking about getting a lottery pick or even top prospect for Bailey. Have a hard time believing a team would not give up a 4th or 5th round pick for Bailey. Getting rid of Bailey would send a nice message that things are different.

The point is are you willing to move a da colle with Bailey in order to rid yourself of a bad contract

Florida also threw in one of their top prospects to get rid of that garbage. So should we throw in Pulock just to get rid of him? And SES i thought you didn't want anymore draft picks.

Nope put him on waivers no one claims him toss him the AHL where he belongs at least for this year. End of story.

IT was stupid for Snow to even offer him this contract in the first place

It really should not take adding MDC to move Bailey. I need to know the return before I agree to move MDC with Bailey. I would be shocked if Arizona would not move a 4th or 5th for Bailey.

As much as I do not like Bailey, I would not include a top prospect to move Bailey. If he cannot be moved put him in Bridge. I never said I did not want more draft picks. I would have taken Vesey, but I rather have someone more proven than Vesey.

Dude the panthers just traded their best prospect to get rid of a bad contract. You have to give the team a reason to take a bad deal

Bailey should have been given no more than a 3 year deal. I mentioned it at the time. Putting him on waivers and tossing him in the AHL works if he cannot be moved without adding a top prospect.

I do not care what the Panthers did. Bailey does not have a monster contract and I doubt the Isles would be looking for a big return. Who knows with Garth though. If Bailey cannot bring back a 4th or 5th round pick he is worthless and they should just release him.

This is a market setting deal. Teams aren't going to take your bad contract for no reason. You have to give a team a reason to move crap
