If you are going by position, Hall is easily top 10 LW could even make an argument for top 5.

Canada was obviously looking for a more versatile/well-rounded player, which Couture is. he's not a gamebreaker like Hall but Canada clearly isn't into that kind of player (see Subban).

Would prefer no Devils players to play at the World Cup need everyone to remain heathy to keep the season interesting and at least keep playoff hopes alive as long as possible

Every forward on Canada's roster is a Centre who can play wing except for 1 (Perry). This is the way that Babcock likes his international rosters.

I'm fine with that. Less games to be injured in.

A much bigger omission is Phil Kessel on team USA, especially when the team has Backes, Abdelkader and Palmieri. Not to mention Shattenkirk and Yandle omitted, but Jack Johnson makes the team.

It's fine. Logan Couture is a quality player on a high profile team and a good choice.
