Good blog Jan.

Think the biggest problems last year were defense, special teams, and lack of scoring from 3rd, and 4th lines.

Think Gorton did an excellent job addressing the PK. Vesey will hopefully make the 3rd line a scoring threat again. Defense is what it is, but Girardi was hurt a good portion of the year, and Yandle and Boyle weren't exactly defensive stalwarts. I actually think the defense will be better this year, but they are going to lose some offense from the back end.

Buch is going back to the khl.

If Jeff Skinner was able to handle the NHL physicality at age 18, Buchnevich will be fine

I just saw the prospect rankings from back in February done by TSN...they had Vesey at number 9 overall. Not to bad for a bust

I hope you are right about Lundqvist.

I'm in a keeper league where we can keep three players.

I made some trades last year that doesn't leave me with many picks in the first few rounds, so I need to make the right choices with my keepers.

Patrick Kane will be a for sure!! 316.5 points for me last year - projected at 354.9 (I don't see him increasing on last years totals, that seems too high)

My concern is the next two as I have 3 potentials.
Pavelski - 250.5 and projected 252.5
Burns - 227.2 and projected 236.7
Lundqvist 308.2 and projected 297.8

a good goalie is hard to find, so I'm leaning towards Lundqvist and Burns and try and trade Pavelski for a 1st round pick.

Example, Craig Anderson had 273.1 last year - 228.6 pro
Bishop had 305.4 - 314.3 pro (I traded him already)
Ryan McDonagh had 121.5 - 135.5 pro
Zuccarello had 172.5 - 200.8 pro
Dan Boyle had 81.5 - 0.0 pro

The Rangers helped me win my league last year. I want to thank them. I wish them the best this year. I'm wondering if a very late round pick would be work grabbing Vessy as I have room for 5 reserve players, I typically go 2 forwards, 2 def and 1 goalie.

I really hope he makes the team, but holy hell is he skinny. Looks like 1 big hit and he will break into a couple pieces.

power post..... i concur om most ....more than that ....let me explain....
for now top 6 looks on pt.
3rd line with shaky Hayes as of now& 2 complete rooks??? I D K
if u can do that much in camp & pre games to get A V to swallow that
Fast ? is the 3rd line control with Hayes improving from start
Bushny & Vesey will share a slot and go from there .....
L or R dont matter Fast wil offset either one
love the depth of 4th liners who can step if injury or slumps happen

as I said if we put Fast in top 6 we are done......

D : 1st I believe if u are going to have a comeback type season its easiest if u are a stay home D type...a lot less to fix unless your shot & done.... then ship em off to the glue factory......G man & staal I MO if healthy will have big yrs ...
1. they know the game & if they can move like they should ...no brainer
( how many times did Chelios make em eat there words!!!
2. I think K Y competely messed up a tight cohesive unit ....he was a T O machine & weak in front of net.... u figure it out..Mac also goin in slow mo
was a major factor ....
Like I say on Fast in the top 6
IF we say KLein is one of our top 3 D in Dec. were done......

I see a final move now that Vesey is nestled I mean settled in the fold....
gotta move out 7.8 mill for 2 yrs to St lou who really wants him
gotta ship out 1 stalwart vet D outta 3 to balance the D off with O /PP type
and stay home type...3 got Holden who is tougher & Mac rath toughest ...
an element u cant underestimate whne players rompp in front of your net instead of tippey toeing and trying to sneak in front ... if your goin to get hit hard u will look out for it & not he puck as much... TRUE !
we aint got that part of the game since Sauer went down w/ concussions (Loved em).....Books behind bench & in there minds SO watch out crease monkeys ..... we are gonna be alot fiercer in front of ole HAANK.....

So like i said very thing JAN said sans this list.....L G R
