I give Murray a lot of credit he's made moves to better this team and some people like it and some don't. It's better then all the excuses we would get out of Darcy, no way he would have had the balls to do anything close to what Murray has done. Once again I know some will not agree with Murray but I do.

It was a third round pick and we had what 3 or 4 of them. No doubt, at every turn, the Sabres are trying to get better. Now we just need to plan for Kane's replacement when he shipped out the final year of his deal.

I agree 89 and I like the fact that TM is willing to take chances, nothing wrong with that. Some trades won't work but at least he tries. It will be interesting to see what he does next. This roster isn't done.

I have no problem with what he did, either.

Third round picks rarely work out in the NHL. Besides Detroit, I could not find one team that has had consistent success with players drafted in the third round.

Worth the risk.

they could conceivably go into next season with the roster they have...the additions of okposo and kulikov make this team better...

plus some ifs:

if ennis can hit his career averages
if Girgensons can up his production
if McCabe can solidify his spot in the top four
if Lehner stays healthy

this team will be even better than that...95 points may be a stretch with this roster, but not that much

Screw the rags, they're not going anywhere

TM took a calculated risk and I give him credit for taking a chance. Past management would sit on the sideline trying to convince us we had no chance. Now that this is over let's get back to completing the rebuild. As long as he didn't go to the Leafs.
