If only LTIR was that easy.

Trading Lupul for one of the Dallas goalies is not an option, it would be nothing more than a lateral move, with no gain.
It would have to be a trade that would include one of the Leafs decent prospects (like Bickell trade)

I doubt his contract supports loan arrangements and I can't imagine he would be game for that either way.

In the end, if Lupul is healthy he can be a fairly valuable contributor.
