IMO, only reason to go after or not go after Patrick Roy is his coaching ability and whether or not he makes the team better.

I really appreciate your commitment to being current and on top what's going on as opposed to unimaginative, sleep inducing boom boom book reports and love letters to referees. keep up the good work. as far as Patrick roy is concerned, his name simply gets added to the tiny pool that the canadiens fish in but as of right now, he's still in line behind therrien and muller.

1) he's not very good

2) he's really just not good at all

3) Roy is just plain bad

4) He's arguably the worst coach in the NHL

5) a tropical toad who's never seen ice before would be a better coaching option than this clown

Jen , you always write great blogs, and I always enjoy reading what you have to say ... but Mickey Mouse would be a better coach than Therrien

I agree it would probably be a complete disaster....although it would make a really great show...I'm torn.

As one of only a few bilingual coaches with NHL experience, he will forever be "in the mix" whenever Therrien (or any successor) is fired--unless he's got a job somewhere else.

What a poop show it would be.Edge of Night meets the NHL. I'm indifferent to Therrien and think Bergevin (frank)ed the dog more than his coach last year but Roy would elevate the contest between GM and coach (frank)ery to a new level.

Agree 100%. The closest I want to see Roy to the Hab bench is 10 rows back.

Now why would Montreal want his circus act to coach a team he quit on?
Hire him for the AHL to learn coaching & earn it one day maybe.

Anything is better than Therrien! Ideally, the Habs have to suck out of the gate and get fired after 3 weeks. Muller takes over
