It's not a very big sample size, but it's possible he played a good couple games against him. He's not a terrible player, he's just a name-brand guy who is seen as being better than he is.

It's not that I don't like them. I don't really have any strong feelings one way or the other. I think Roy wasn't very good, and I don't really think Sakic is either, though he may be, he's only been doing the GM thing a short time.

I like to watch MacKinnon and I think his point totals just went up a bit.

Sucks they didn't make this move back when Bruce Boudreau was on the market.

It's not a very big sample size, but it's possible he played a good couple games against him. He's not a terrible player, he's just a name-brand guy who is seen as being better than he is.

I know...I was more kidding...but LOTS of guy are better than a HERO chart gives them credit for....this is one of them IMO

edit: I don't want to trade JVR for him either, wouldn't mind seeing 1 more year in TO before signing/trading

You give Bruce way too much credit....the guys always had stud teams...not saying he's not good...but saying certain guys are the best coach ever and then looking at the teams he got to coach...the guy had the best player on the planet in Ovie ++ and then went to Ana and had Getz and Perry who are 2 more of the best players on the planet.

Bourdreau leaned on fowler for #1 minutes in Anaheim last year.

I've always thought Broudeau was a good coach. would be surprised if he was putting out a guy as terrible as the charts depict fowler to be for all those minutes.

Makes make question the reliability of ownthepuck or if boudreau is an idiot.

You obviously haven't watched Fowler very often. There is no way JVR lands you a defenseman like Fowler.

Nah you got me all wrong. I just suggested that with his play to date, Schenn has been misused by all his coaches. Instead of asking him to be the defensive defenseman, I say cut him loose and try him with OEL. Might not work, worth a shot. But since it's in no way likely why not go for the Wiz?

I think Lindholm had the most mins last year 5v5 and played mostly with Manson while Fowler got paired with the old guy Bieksa.

I guarantee you that Anaheim wouldn't be able to accept that trade fast enough. It'd be almost as bad as Hall for Larsson.
