I also don't like the notion of trading Krejci, I want him to be a lifer. Especially if it's sign Vermette so we can trade Krej.

At least we (Buf and tor too) have the 15th to look forward to. I have a good feeling about Vessey. Boston boy + self proclaimed mamas boy + Best buddy Gryz + open spot next to Marchy/Bergy = Boston

Pass on vermette. Acciari is probably better today and has room to grow. Plus we don't know what Schaller and Nash bring yet (car fans seem to think we'll be pleased with Nash)

I hate the idea of trading Krejci. I absolutely love him as a player and I think he's due for a big (healthy) season. I seriously think he's = Nik Backstrom. If Krejci had Ovi to pass to he'd be a career ppg player too. And Bergy overshadows his 2 way game

Tim Schaller , undrafted UFA from Providence signed with Buff a year or two ago then signed with the B's this offseason. Not really sure what he's gonna bring but he's supposed to be an NHL'er

What are the chances Boston could get back their 3rd round pick? If they can trade something insignificant enough, they would then have the ability to offer sheet one of the remaining RFAs. Trade khoko to philly for their 3rd round pick, then offer sheet Ristolainen at a 5 million aav. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work.

I think buffalo matches 5M for Risto easily. In my opinion, if you are going to offer sheet a player, offer an amount that would seriously make a team consider the compensation. In the case of Risto, I honestly believe Buffalo would match just about anything.

Touché. I would tend to agree, but hope to see our guys like Griffith or Heinen over Schaller. But who knows.

I think next season we will have a surplus of offensive talent with the progression of the youth. This will hopefully spark interest in someone that we can part with for a Fowler, Shat, Barrie, etc. Evaluating Spooner, Vatrano, Pasta, Heinen, Griffith, etc. Will put us in a strong position.

Side note, if Carlo is all he's cracked up to be, maybe he makes the lineup this year. Shows us to stop wasting time with Morrow and we just develop Carlo into that #1 or 2. Then zboril and McAvoy bring up the rear the following year or two once Chara is done.

The Bruins made some calls on Vermette prior to the buyout. The NTC complicated things and this was also before Backes signed here, so I wonder if the interest is still there. Wouldn't necessarily be surprised if he's a camp invite come September if he remains unsigned til then.
