The Damphousse trade was actually quite beneficial for us back then. We got Anderson BUT we shifted Fuhr to Buffalo for Andreychuk, Puppa, and their first round pick. That alone was great, but the first rounder was used to select Kenny Jonsson (who was a fantastic player - I was very annoyed at Cliff for using him to bring back Wendel). All in all, the Damphousse trade was a total "win" on our behalf. |

Oh...I know man!! Brutal!!
I would have loved to have kept Kenny and had our defense with him Markov, Yushkevich...oh well.
We did get Schneider in the Jonsson deal, but he wasn't too enamored with playing in Toronto and we certainly didn't receive his best effort(s) whilst he was here. |
