there just doesn't seem to be a reason to sign Hudler, Pirri or Vrbata when you lay all the names out

and this is assuming they are getting rid of Glass which isn't definite

I don't see them using the buyout, as Gorton has been pretty definitive in his view. Possibly get one Hudler or Vrbata or Pirri if cheap enough to give another possible top-six or at least -nine forward. However, they may give Jensen or Hrivik a true shot.

On the blue line, if Shattenkirk's price come down or Lindholm could be acquired, I believe Gorton will be all over that.

Besides the above, don't foresee much and I am looking to see Buchnevich and Stromwall. But someone whose knowledge I immensely trust believes Buch isn't ready yet, so NY has to be careful. He liked breaks camp with the team but look for his zone starts and minutes to be sheltered early on.

I'd love to have Hulder on the roster.
and it would be so nice to not be bumped up against the cap all year because they had room so added more players just because, would make next offseason and going after Shattenkirk so nice. Like many of us have said.. no need to trade assets when he can be had for free at year end.
They could save the cap space by not adding anything else because they will need it to resign Mika and hopefully get Shattenkirk.

Hrivik played his role very well last year, he deserves a chance, unless they get a quality vetern on a dirt cheap 1yr deal
