Hickey will likely get picked off. Would be difficult task at Forward, Im almost certain we going to lose a very good forward. You guy know of love for Cizikas. I guess we can see how year 1 of Ladd goes before we discuss protecting him. Could be easy way to get out of he doesn't live to expectations.

Ladd has a no trade clause he will have to be protected |

I think the reason Casey got the contract he got was to discourage LV from taking him. Therefore I don't think he will be protected. |

If I am the GM of Vegas I would choose younger players who have amazing potential first. After that I pick a few veterans to round out the team. I have to think youth is the way to go in the draft |

Does anyone know the order of how the expansion draft is set?
Like how does vegas choose the first team it picks from?
I dont know anything about expansion drafts besides they can only take one player from each team |

Dehaan would be picked before hickey imo, but if lee or Nelson were available it might be one of them. Who knows, will see what happens. |

Pulock will be a target if not protected. They'll probably be some crazy trades in the next few months due to this. |

I don't think they need to go in any specific order for expansion draft. They just look at every team's unprotected players and decide what 1 player they would like on their team. .... Some teams may not lose anyone. they have to keep the cap in mind while doing it too.. would be fun to try and build team once you know who is available. |

True a lot can happen over the next 11 months. Although, there's no solid past history to feel that changes will occur.
Its been 10 years of Garth and now that He & Coach finally have a publicly declared performance bar to reach it will be interesting to see how that plays.
Again, we are living through another Summer with a lot of the same concerns from summers past. A legit Top-line winger for JT and suspect coaching.

Huh, never thought of that. What does LV do with the players they drafted (expansion draft) once they exceed their 23 man roster limit? |

Find an AHL affiliate and place them there. |

But what about players that aren't waiver exempt? Do they get a free pass, so to speak. |

That I'm not sure of. They may have to settle for a few "backups" that are on two-way contracts. Guys that won't be protected, obviously. If that happens, I'm sure the team's that lose them will be more than ok with it. |
