ahhhh, the dog days of summer...

I had wondered if Straka would get a shot at competing for a role on the Flyers this season, but with all the bodies they have added, it seems like he's going to end up a Phantom again. Not a bad system guy to have, though, and he has yet to exceed the veteran criteria which could be an issue at times for Lehigh Valley this season

I used to be, but not so much anymore. This was the first year I didnt even turn on the all star game. I still don't know who won.

I watched the NBA Summer League instead. Simmons made some no-look passes that were impressive. Now that Saric is a definite, their year should be exciting

They got a ways to go, but they might at least get people in the seats this year.

Obviously, but the cards are really stacked against him right now. A lot of guys who are more accomplished and better fits for a bottom 6 role are in place now

Yeah lotta bodies. The cream will have to rise to the top. We shall see. He fit in really well with his cup of coffee 2 years ago. He makes the team and all of the sudden the Flyers have 4 Czech's on the team.

I thought he looked good during his brief call up, too. Clock is ticking on him at age 24, though.
