Real question for Sabres fans. When and if the Sabres become contenders again in the East, is ZG an important part of that team?

He has value in bottom 6. 4th line center if he can beat out Larson then 3rd liner. Great hitter wheels always moving. Championship teams have these guys. One year deal could work

He could be but I also feel as if the Sabres could be successful without him. Maybe if he has a decent year he is a tradeable asset at the trade deadline. If the Sabres can sign him cheap for multiple years I also wouldn't mind him coming back

it is obvious that the trio you mentioned all struggled in their roles last year, Ennis struggled because of injury, Zemgus and Moulson because they were put in different roles. with Legwand out of the picture, I think Zemgus can find his game playing back at center and I think his game will advance even more when we move the older, slower vets out of the lineup and replace them with faster, younger players.
It seems Anaheim is over pricing a player everybody in the hockey world knows they need to move. If Zemgus and a pick is our offer, I think Anaheim would be wise to steal him from us. Although I would rather he stay here and find his way out of his funk.

Ended up being boring .I have a soft spot for really intelligent and attractive women. Not many of them trying to get into shows.No matter who you are tour managing . Basically same chicks are trying to get backstage . In 1994 I worked with Dwight Yoakam and Green Day and believe it or not lots of the same chicks trying to get back stage for both acts.

All you say is true, but I think we would all miss Garth, the voice of the Sabres, if he were gone.

Rasmus Ristolainen, Zemgus Girgensons, Marcus Foligno, Jake McCabe, Casey Nelson, Jason Kasdorf and Dan Catenacci were all qualified to protect the Sabres against another team signing their free agents.

NHL players had until 5 p.m. Friday July 15 to accept their qualifying offers.

Zemgus Girgensons, Jason Kasdorf and Dan Catenacci still remain unsigned today.
