So if he was not driving then he fled the scene of a crime which is in itself a crime, at least in America.
Even at face value that is some stand up character. |

According to someone in the know, he was not driving.
But sure, go ahead and make assumptions. |

This should be interesting. |

He would have had to be in the vehicle when the accident happened...no?
Certainly it is possible that he wasn't even there and only returned with the "mystery driver" who crashed ROR's car into the building.
I think the point of the blog is there are so many people that are judge and jury that don't know the facts. It's the bad part of social media is these people have "a voice".
Was he the driver? I don't know most people including myself would say probably. But that's up to the police to figure out. They couldn't.
This happens all the time. A person I know crashed his car into the median and was absolutely wasted. I know he was the driver, but in the eyes of the court he got off because they couldn't prove he was the driver. |

Agreed.
Anyone that has done something illegal and never caught, should turn themselves in. |

Exactly, and it's up to the police to figure out who was driving. They couldn't so case closed.
Again not condoning drinking and driving just stating the legal facts. |

There is no way to confirm that, only ROR can so and he wouldnt admit that he was driving, so its just all speculative friend of a friend who serves his family ice cream in the summer in the know kind of talk.
No one got hurt, he couldnt be proved to be the one driving, so its case closed. |

DUI is very hard to convict as long the as accused can afford a decent lawyer. You don't have to be an NHL player to get out of a DUI - there are so many little legal loopholes.
It is also commonly accepted that if you get into an accident while drunk you are far better off to leave the scene. At that point - even if there are witnesses and cameras that can CLEARLY identify you(This is how O'Reilly got off) - the charge for leaving the scene is WAY WAY less than a DUI. Is the law broken in this regard...probably. |

I trust that Max would not post the comment saying it was another NHL player that was driving to be truthful, especially since he said it from almost day 1 and he was proven, in a way, to be right without mentioning the name of the actual driver per the hearing yesterday. |

Is it illegal to make a paste out of blow and a real woman's sweat?
Asking for a friend who didn't get caught and may need to change plans.

Is it any wonder that O'Reilly got off when you have Dr. Corisanti, who was knowingly driving drunk, killed a defenseless girl - get off because ---- WHILE DRUNK ---- he didnt know he hit someone.... Hell of a defense on that one huh?
Money and a good lawyer somehow got that dirtbag off when he should be rotting away in a jail cell right now.
This one still pisses me off!! |

We can use the Boston approach, they call him "The Driver", but it just means that he hits golf balls really far |
