Wiz is a pretty good player, at this point I am about 0% confident he can stay healthy. Good pick up at vet minimum for depth. Bad pick up at anything more.
Ian Cole may not be a natural RD, but he can play the position. He played extremely well on the right side in 2015 alongside notorious anchor Robert Scuderi down the stretch and the playoffs. I think a DP-Cole bottom pairing can work so long as Pouliot holds up his end of the bargain and actually works.
We're fine with Warsofsky as our 7th D, but Pouliot doesn't improve we have depth issues. But not having another right hand shot to come in to replace Lovejoy isn't the problem. Cole can do that. |

I've thought about him. Wouldn't be a bad fit if he's healthy. I'd prefer they went with Cole and Pouliot, and think Pouliot ends up in WBS if this happens, but I wouldn't be upset by it. He's a good buy low candidate. Good chance if healthy he'd work out well in that role.
Still prefer Schultz though. Plenty of reason to think he can improve with a full season here. I think he's closer to becoming a 2nd pair guy than Pouliot. Being a righty helps, plus his good chemistry with Cole. |

So, what's the whispers about how much Ol Shultzy boy is going to cost, & who do we have to relocate to do him & Culldog if we're going to do what the Blues Brothers did & get the gang back together?
Edit: Just so it's said, so much for Lovejob telling his agent to get a deal done to stay with the Cup champs! |

No chance Bengtsson impresses at camp to fill a role? He has been playing pro in Sweden the last two years. Seems more offensive than defensive but he is a right shot. |

Bengtsson is very promising and has drawn comparisons to Stralman. Unfortunately, we just don't have any way of coming up with a realistic expectation for him since he was undrafted and hasn't played on NA ice yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see him challenge for a spot straight out of camp and I'd be equally unsurprised to see hi struggle to carve out a spot in WBS |

I get the feeling Prow will have to marinate for a while in the AHL but he has a lot of promise long term. No clue about Percy. Some guys on him seem pretty high on him but he went unsigned by friggen Toronto who's defense is suck. That's not a good sign at all. |

Percy seems to have had an injury riddled past. Two concussions already. |

meh. schultz was hated in edmonton and they got rid of him first chance they had. you can't trust the decisions bad teams like toronto and edmonton make. |

Very valid point. We'll see what Percy does when he gets here. |

Yohe's Q &;A said Fehr was a possibility. Apparently he wasn't happy with his ice time. |

Be careful ... Dcoms will be all over you. He gave me a list of names ahead of Percy in Toronto and only two of them were good. We shall see. Maybe a change of scenery does him well, but I'm not that hopeful to be honest. Hope he proves me wrong. |

Cullen waiting on Minnesota?
Fvck Him then, its not like he's made the league minimum his whole career and he's also not a 3 million dollar man even if we had capspace
The fact he won't resign for a million and play in an environment and role that suited him perfectly speaks volumes
Don't let the door hit you on the way out Matt, times like this I never feel sorry for players - Chase every $$$ you can, This year you'll be home by the end of April |

Rather have Bartkowski as our 7th, more size then warsofsky if needed.
But I rather have Schultz in the lineup too. Hopefully bc it's taking so long for someone to sign him, the pens might be trying to do something to get it done.
But who knows.
Let's go pens! |
