I don't think avs will do anything. Barrie will go to arbitration and then get a deal. Avs can't afford to loose a top 6 forward like Landy or dutchy... just not enough coming up this year or next to make it worth it. And there are more options on d now with all the buyouts today. Just a lot of gm noise because of the trades from yesterday.

Not strong enough up front to let either go...

Not having someone step up and challengeverything for a roster spot from the 2014 draft (no including compher ) is a step back this year. Like next year I would like to see compher (unless he makes it this year, and jost start to push for a spot) iggy will be gone. with possibly a d guy and Greer in 2018 with beach and Comeau gone.

I see another growth year for the avs this year. Finally a year with no core movement, another solid draft and good signings by Sakic (Comeau, beauch were good, skile was what I expected) if we can get to the 8th seed wild card playoff spot without loosing too many assets or making stupid trades for a Ufa to be guy I will call that a solid win and step forward for the organization.but it continues tomorrow with FA. sign a D guy and 2 depth forwards, along with a ahl goalie, our RFA barrie, mack, picks etc... that's the first step for a great 2016 season

As a Jets fan, I will say this: no matter what you do, no matter who you add, if y'all do not fire Patrick Roy, the Avs WILL be the punching bag of the central division. Speed, skill, and puck possession is the way of winning in the NHL today. Roy is stuck in 1995 with the big, hard hitting teams of a bygone era. Sakic is fine, fire Roy. He's already had problems with Barrie and Duchene (two best players in the two most important skater positions). But, you could also extend him until 2072 with some weird no-fire clause and make my life easier.

They would have to offer over 8.4 million per season for that compensation. No one in the world would give Barrie that.

Time will tell. As of now Roy has a season or 2 left to prove he is an NHL coach. The issues with Barrie and Duchene were very minor and from all accounts at least with Dutch he has nothing but respect for Patrick. I think the Jets might be one of the meanest teams we play. They sure use their bodies...

Avs could still grab Boedker at a reasonable rate now that his agents have realized he isn't a hot commodity and his stock has dropped a little. I'd be good with him at a 4-5m to play in the top 6
