Over $2m for Martin is insane. He's a 10 minute a night plug. Put in one of the kids at <$1m and you're instantly better. |

Stamkos at 9.1 + the $3.5 they give him for advertising Ontario milk.
$2m for his chummy Martin.
If Martin want's more...Stammer has to take out of his own salary.

I'm not even really a fan of Trump to be honest, but I don't think he was part of the plan at all...........

Stamkos would be nice to have but I really doubt his value at anything past 8-9 mil. Tampa doesnt need him. Toronto doesn't "need" him as much as they did before they got Matthews, but of course, he's still a major catch. I dont know.
If he wants to be the highest payed player in the NHL, I'm sure Buffalo or Ottawa will give him 12-13 mil per year. Which is a waste of money. |

My guess has always been Toronto, 7 yrs. @ 9.5 mil per. We'll see soon enough. |

There is no way the Bruins could be offer sheeting Trouba and give up 4 firsts could they? That sounds ridiculous.

I'll guess 8 years 10.2
The Leafs give up a D prospect and a 3rd round pick in a sign and trade.

Something I wonder about:
Would Stamkos agree to a sign and trade?
I don't think you can actually write an agreement that forces Tampa to trade you, so he's running the risk of signing an 8-year agreement, and then having Stevie Y inform him that he has changed his mind and the deal is off.
Remote possibility, sure.
But it's still out there. |
