I agree with you about making no moves vs. Bad moves. If there wasn't this "rumor" of a shakeup, I'd bet the Rangers don't do much this offseason. Let's also remember that he got 4-5 guys signed to very good deals last summer, so I'm hopeful he can do that again.

I agree with not selling just to sell. I think a lot of the trades could be dependent on which free agents sign. Like Gorton was saying around the draft he is close on a lot of things, it might just take one domino to get all the cards rolling.

Also someone else brought it up, if certain teams miss out on free agent targets they want, they could come back to the Rangers later in the offseason. it's a good thing you are allowed to be 10% over the cap right now. Rangers might need that advantage.

Gorton's refusal to trade, for the sake of trading, is a good thing at the end of the day.

Fans that want to see moves, just because, are the same people that complained that they dealt Talbot and Hagelin last year. I think a big lesson was learned there because while Gropp can be a good player the immediate returns on both trades hurt the team.

Younger yes better remains to be seen. I agree bout not making moves just for the hell of it. But as long as Hanks is here you have to make moves that make team better now.
