i don't see it. i don't think Beaulieu has too much value because right now, he's still more about potential than what he has actually delivered. he's got the physical tools to be a top pairing guy but he doesn't yet think the game at a top pairing level and there's no guarantee he ever becomes more than an OK second pairing player.

It's about money....at least 5 teams out there have less than 10 million in cap space and only have 16-18 players under contract, he's young, he's cheap, he has the tools to become a solid second pairing D! If a team is strapped for cash and needs to offload an expensive asset, a guy like Beaulieu looks real nice to start the conversation
