Right shooting right wingers is a massive black hole in Edmontons system. I fully believe this is the guy Chiarelli really wanted and perhaps needs to potentially make further deals to improve the line up.

As much as Chiarelli stated "they were prepared for this situation" he clearly was like a kid at Christmas who didnt think he would actually get what he wanted. He clearly had worked primarily under the assumption he wouldn't be able to get JP. A15 minute break wasn't going to undo a month plus of planning. He needs to reasses under the current market conditions and the organizations areas of need and perhaps this changes who is available in trade.

No the general consensus is that all top tier dmen are available but its just the oilers unwillingness to aquire a good dman that stops us. I mean why cant we just trade yakupov for pietrangelo? PC is dum if he duzint.

Yup. If an Eberle trade happens, replace him with a not as good but serviceable UFA option.
