don't know much about him. doesn't seem like a guy that's close to NHL ready (prob 2-3 years away). not sure we had to trade up to get him, but really it's a 3rd.....not the end of the world.

What a steal Logan will be. A huge center, I can't believe he was there at 11. Really surprised Montreal passed on him with all their smurfs.

And Colin White at Center also, we are stacked. Has to be a trade deadline guy after he Captains the WJC and wins the Hobey Baker.

Great job Dorion, he must be excitatic

I was hoping they would get either Brown or Chychrun. Nice work!

He came out and said NJ werent going to take him, so he wasted a 3rd for nothing.

who knows, but like i said, it's a 3rd so who really cares. the best player ottawa has EVER drafted with a 3rd rd pick is Zack Smith....and they've only ever drafted a few guys in the 3rd who played in the NHL for more than a game or two (smith, kelly, regin, gryba).

the odds of getting a player to even crack the bottom six or bottom pairing are almost zero. no big deal.

no he didn't, he said he didn't know who they were going to pick, but he didn't want to take the chance.

If NJ were going to take him, and wanted him, they wouldnt have let him go for a 3rd rounder and taken someone else.

Im so happy the Leafs have a competent management group unlike some other Canadian teams.

Exactly what they wanted, while stockpiling picks and prospects.

I love this pick. Gives us even more depth down the middle. huge body and isn't slow like some other big guys..... COWEN!

I do still worry we need a #1C but i think this gives us some more trade options there.

So because Edmonton screwed up their team, means every time a team who selects first overall are going to turn out like them? Like, Pittsburgh? Tampa? every other team not named Edmonton?

Like I said, you're not the brightest..

dude, the only thing the leafs have shown is that they are a terrible hockey team....maybe you should hold off on the gloating and trolling until you are more than the worst team in the league.

head back over to your thread now and join in on the circle jerk

Not a big fan of the move. Probably pretty pointless, but 3rd round picks have about 80% chance of being career AHL guys with fewer than 50NHL games, so it's not like the odds are good they were going to get anything out of the 3rd round pick anyhow...I guess.

if that was the guy dorion wanted (and his draft record is pretty solid) and he felt there was a chance NJ was going to take him.....it's a very small price to pay.
