I'm ok with all of the winners.. Cool that Anze Kopitar wins two and wasn't even there. He didn't have to witness all the bad music and the worse cheesy hack jokes. Show was awful |

Sorry all you believers of McJesus. He shouldn't have even been in the final for the Calder. There were four others who were by far better because they weren't "Glass Joe (or Connor)".
Look at Domi, Duclair, Eichel and Reinhart. All four of them played at least 80 games for their teams. Even on his own team, Draisaitl should have been considered.
Its going to be funny in 5-6 years when McJesus is out of the league after his 5th concussion, his third broken collar bone, his second (self-inflicted) broken wrist. All of Canada will be crying when he announces that he can't continue due to his broken body....Anybody remember Lindros?!?!?!?
The kid is extremely talented, and I would want him on my team, but he didn't deserve to be considered for the Calder. |

I could care less about these awards but it was good that they finally gave Doughty his Norris. He's been the best Dman in the league for a few years now. |

McDavid played 45 games and had more points than Duclair and Reinhart. He had 4 less points than Domi. You could be right about him being injury prone, who knows really, but to say those guys should be nominated over him is pretty ridiculous. He had over 1 ppg. No other rookie did.
Good for Panarin. Probably the only NHL Award he ever wins. |

so what you're saying is that those guys played almost twice as many games as McDavid, two of them barely outproduced him (eichel and domi), one had 4 less points (duclair), and one had 6 less points (reinhardt) but they deserve calder consideration more than CM?
wow..........
i get that as a fan of the team who just missed out on mcdavid, you clearly have a pretty nasty inferiority complex when it comes to mcdavid vs eichel.....but this post is ridiculous. |

forget rookies, i think maybe only 4 or 5 other players had at or above a PPG pace. |

Atleast you don't sound jealous or bitter. Glass Joe will win the Art Ross next year if he plays close to a full season. |

hmm... you "think he'll last 5 or 6 years" at most and be injured the majority of that time... yet you want him on your team?
hmmm...
