I wouldn't be calling any of those besides Matthews as a potential superstar. Good Players and several could become stars, but that's it IMO. |

He's right, Marner has been a pretty mediocre junior player. |

Only the OHL regular season MVP, most outstanding player award, OHL playoffs MVP and MasterCard memorial cup MVP but yeah (frank) that guy |
|
|

Yeah, But neither Rielly nor Nylander have any chance at being a superstar - those guys are also pretty mediocre - like Marner.....
Gotta love those Oiler fans and their Leaf hate-on. I guess it's all part of their Napoleon Complex. |

Great Deal for all involved - a lot of know nothing Duck fans were crumbing on this deal that 2nd round picks don't mean anything & late 1st's are crapshoots - I believe Murray did better than could be expected for a guy everybody knew he had to deal -
A couple more tweaks here and there & Carlyle turning over a new leaf and team could be ok -
Leafs score a solid goalie who is a terrific guy and very calm - handles puck very well - helps D and moves great for a big man - they are going to be stoked on FA -
Wish you the best Freddie - |

I think it's an overpayment, but the contract signing makes me convinced that the leafs didn't just get a random guy - they had their eyes on this guy and they made a bold move.
How good is he?.... from a distance I know he can be as good as the other Anderson, maybe better, but curious what western teams and Ducks fan have to say |

My opinion is the leafs gave up two much and then paid Andersen to much on his contract. |

Our feeling is this smells a lot like Bernier. $25 million for a career backup is overpayment. Maybe it works out, but probably it doesn't.
They could have gotten someone similar for a lot less and paid them a lot less. |
