Why would anyone WANT to go back to Toronto? Big beautiful city with tons to do, lots of hotdog vendors too, but it's an NHL retirement gig.

Sanheim isnt enough...he was 18th overall and Yakupov was 1st overall...so the Flyers would need to include at least another 1st and maybe Coots

Yakupov to SKA St. Petersburg is more likely

Draft position is meaningless when you're an under performer, whether it's your fault or not. Sanheim and a second round pick would be plenty, although I think the Flyers would be nuts to do this!

I'm an Oilers fan and would be okay with Yak for Sanheim. I don't think the Oilers want anymore left shot Dman though. We already have Sekera Klefbom Davidson Nurse and Reinhart plus a few guys in the Ahl

I pretty sure (at least I hope!) he was being sarcastic.

There won't be many Flyers fans who would even consider trading Sanheim for Yak straight up let alone adding.

If that was true then Yakupov wouldve been traded by now. It is clear EDM is trying to get equal value. With the right usage and his release he is worth it. Could be the next Tarasenko

Pennies on the dollar, they can't get fair value because he was a bad selection at #1, that's why he's still there.

I would hope that any talk involving Sanheim plus to the Oilers isn't for Yakupov but the 4th overall. Matthew Tkachuk would be a better fit, at a lesser price, for the Flyers.

Also, draft position for Yakupov and Sanheim really shouldn't have anything to do with what they are worth now. Especially since Yakupov has already had four less than stellar years in the NHL and Sanheim is about to play his first in the AHL or NHL, and is three years younger. They play different positions, were not drafted the same year, etc. so being first in one draft and 17th in another really doesn't matter. Yakupov could be an Alexandre Daigle-type bust (he hasn't even put up Daigle-like numbers in a more wide-open era) and Sanheim could be a Kevin Hatcher-type five-time all star if we're looking at draft position comparisons.

Well then maybe Voracek...he showed that the year before last was a fluke and now he will be way overpaid. EDM can afford it and Yak can replace his points on the right side and on the PP. Win-Win

I'd be open to offering up Hagg and a decent pick for Yak, but sanheim is a bit too much for my taste.

Well when you consider guys like Murray, Grigorenko, etc it wasn't really a bad selection. The best pick of the draft is probably the guy who went 11th overall (Forsberg). Just a weak draft at the top; D heavy.

This was still a guy who potted 18 goals in 48 games and led all rookies in scoring. Then along comes Dallas Eakins...

What an awful trade that would be for the Flyers. Hope it happens... But it won't...

Sanheim, the rights to Brayden Schenn #18 for Yakupooo and #4

(Note: Schenn has to come back with Yakupooo calling dibs on being #10)

what makes you think that's the case? it's a city with massive traffic congestion, pot holed roads, constant repaving work on highways, pollution and air quality alerts, heat alerts, poor/ unclean transit, excessive taxes, expensive utilities, etc...

I really don't want to do Yakupov for Sanheim, not in the slightest. I also hope hextall doesn't either. Also there's probably no way the sharks keep Reimer do you really think they're either going to move Jones or Reimer is suddenly going to want back up money instead of a starting job? Not happening.
