I liked the idea of Marti...they certainly played him up last offseason. He didnt stand out to me and unfortunately only ended up being an idea. Best of luck to him though...I liked what I saw in interviews

He may have just needed more time, like Brandon Alderson and Mike Testwuide.

When I list the top Flyers d-men of all time, Rico will always be a solid #2 on the list behind Mark Howe..

I'm looking forward to a Phantoms' team with legit NHL talent on it. I'm not expecting a crop of All-Stars, and I have no problem with them exploring all avenues and taking chances, but I hope the days of the Garrett Roe/Jon Kalinski/Jared Ross/Luke Pither type teams are gone soon.

I live 10 minutes from the PPL center...so I am also looking forward to legit talent on the Phantoms

He and Timonen are 2A and 2B for me. Different players, but both were under-appreciated league wide and were, as Bill noted, perennial All-Stars who played well in all 3 zones, had great puck skills, great positioning, and great "hockey IQ."

One thing I always remember was Rico always seemed to get shots through. And with LeClair in front of the net it is easy to see why he had so many goals on the PP.

Can I stream their games and watch on my Apple TV???

Actually, I did some more reading up on it last night, and something like that just does not make sense for me. I don't stream or use my phone nearly enough to justify it. Not saying that it doesn't make sense for other people.

I still stand by my original statement, however.

I went to 1 game (end of march/early april) and they got shutout 3-0 by WBS. He looked good but I had no baseline really. I enjoyed watching Morin a lot...that reach is going to be a serious asset

A non-hockey fan won tickets so I ended up spending more time explaining things than I wanted to

I am not sure what the options are for watching the Phantoms on Comcast. They are on Service Electric in the LHV, but I dont have Service Electric.

It was a no-brainer for me and I have thoroughly enjoyed using it

Yes.... Hägg finished very strong. The problem was that he took a step backwards in the first 4/5 of the season after a strong training camp with the Flyers/Phantoms.

In some ways, I think Desjardins was every bit as important to the mid-late 90's Flyers as Eric Lindros was and maybe even more so.

Gotta break a few eggs to make the perfect defenseman...

I have a feeling he'll make the team out of camp this fall.

There were a couple of seasons where you had to kinda hide your eyes when Desjardins wasn't on the ice

One of my favorites for how honest and professional he was

Huh. Just for the hell of it in mid-June, are you thinking AMac's going to Lehigh Valley, almost guaranteed?

At Manning's expense maybe, and yeah, probably AMac too.

I cant really argue with you and I would be happy if he did make the team...but I dont see it happening unless a Streit/AMac trade occurs
