with the way he ended the season, this upcoming season is a big one for him, he needs to take charge of the offense and become a leader. Habs desperately need him to be productive. |

Jennifer B Cutler: Habs Report Cards: Alex Galchenyuk
Alex Glachenyuk gets a B+ in what was a roller coaster of a season... - Jennifer B Cutler
MT will end the experiment after 5-6 games due to chemistry issue or some other BS reason and he will be back to 2nd line winger or 3rd line center (behind DD, as the #1 center, yet again).

Good luck. I have a hard time seeing him as a number 1 centre. |

He finished in the top 30 for points among centers this season while playing all over the place and with way less minutes than most #1Cs. Most notably he produced 50 points with Eller on his line for majority of the year.
I think the real big challenge will be for him to play better defensively with high consistency. |

Here's the way to help Galchenyuk. Trade with the Oilers for Yakapov.
Oilers trade: Yakapov
Montreal trades: Noah Juulsen and 2nd rd 2016

Great blog again.
Mea Culpa on my part on Chuck.
The day he stopped playing like a junior was the day he became a legit top 6 center. Not trying to deke 5 guys on the ice will do that.
Hopefully, he continues like he ended last season. |

Why do people hate Therrien so much, to be honest he used what he had this season. Not his fault when his team played like utter trash. Wether you want to admit it or not, he's a pretty good defensive coach. |

That was sarcasm.
I'm not a big fan of the guy, but to be honest, aside from last season, his team has been hardworking and over achieving since he was brought back, and this season he received zero help from his general manager. |

Indeed, MB has made some strange moves. That DSP trade was as dumb as it gets. The guy played with heart finished checks and was still young. I think Matteau is a project but wasn't DSP why start over? |

Habs have been in the worst teams in the nhl at allowing shots against in the last few years. That's what a good defensive system is supposed to prevent, and the only thing we can measure that is not influenced by Price. Therrien is not a good defensive coach. |
