I would love to see GMTM trade for the right to select Tkachuck...he's a gamer, shows up big in big games! Go get him Timmy! |

Surely GMTM could package Moulson, Ennis, Pysyk and a premium 2nd rounder to Edmonton for their #4 overall pick. Ennis and Pysyk are both Edmonton boys. Moulson is Canadian. Tkachuk played golf with Jackson Eichel two years ago, so he'd love to come to Buffalo. |

Moulson is dead weight, we'd have to pay Edmonton to take him. Ennis, Pysyk, and a 2nd seems a bit much. I like Tkachuk but I also like Jost who will most likely be there at #8. I know Pysyk and Ennis didn't have great years last year, but there's nothing that says they can't bounce back this year. Ennis is a 20 a year goal score and that was doing thing all by himself, if healthy playing with the Sabres new top 6, I think he'll become solid again.
With that said, I would do Ennis or Pysyk plus a second and a prospect to move from 8 to 4, but I'm not sure Edmonton would take it. |

Most likely
Still, Tkachuk is exactly the kind of guy that I don't want you folks drafting this summer. GMTM seems to think that Evander Kane and his Bozakian numbers are worthy of first line time, and I don't want him to get any ideas about replacing him with a more talented guy... |

Yeah, I believe I would. We got Franson for nothing, he's our 6-7 d-man on the roster and will be done by the end of the year. |

Anybody who doesn't want to draft Tkachuk is a moron. I was about to write a blog - and I'm still gonna do it - but this was before the memorial cup..... The Oilers should draft the poop out of Tkachuk. Straight up. What are they looking for? A top line winger with balls, who digs, who plays hard and who has mad elite skills.
Tkachuk on the Oilers would surpass Hall within 2 years. He would surpass Maroon(who was a great unknown acquisition) in like 2 seconds.
Oilers should draft Tkachuk because it's a perfect fit. Oh and it keeps that A-hole in the West! See you in the finals Tkachuk and Oilers!
-----signed Toronto Maple Leafs aka, the team that will finish ahead of the Sabres this season even though we don't want to. |

I was hoping there would be a murrency reference |

Good grief. THACHUK for a top 4 D, a prospect and a premium pick.
Well the Oilers need quality. Not a top 4 D man. They have plenty of prospects. The premium pick. I assume he's not mentioning the #8 otherwise he would have said so
Yet another crap for gold trade proposal. Why would the Oilers do that?
I say the Oilers draft THACHUK then trade one or more of RNH, Eberle or Yakopov to get their D man. A top two D man in the league now. Not Pysyk or one of murrency's premium picks |

If the Sabres were to aquire the 4th pick Bogosian 8th overall two 3rd's and one of our top offensive prospects (Bailey) would probably be a fair trade. But Bogosian has a NTC and even if he didn't Murray would never trade him (even though he has a terrible contract)
So I don't really see a trade that would work beside that. Risto isn't going anywhere. McCabe is a very good young defenceman but he's a left shot and doesn't have the clout yet that warrants a high profile deal. So I don't see it happening. That being said. If Buffalo loves one of Jouvei or Nylander and fears a team like the Coyotes will take them I could see us doing a trade with Vancouver or Calgary for them. As long as it's not Dubois we don't need another hybrid center.
Let's say its with Calgary. Buffalo's 1st (8th overall) and two 3rd's plus Nick Baptiste for the 6th overall pick would be a fair trade. Then we'd have our choice most likely of Jouvei or Nylander |

Personally I'd say that a hypothetical trade of Bogosian and the fourth for the eighth is much more fair than Bogosian and the eighth for the fourth...

What are you saying Bogosian sucks? This coming from a guy whose team has an awful situation at D themselves... |
