Abdelkader and Dubinsky over Kessel, Palmieri and Johnson is a (frank)ing joke. Not to mention no Shattenkirk or Fowler.

Why is Torts even allowed anywhere near this thing. Hynes or Sullivan would have been much better choices.

I liked what I saw of Mozik in the few games he played last year and I liked his offensive side of his game. I'd like to see him get a shot at a roster spot next year.

I'd even take Disco over Torts. IMO, John Tortarella is the worst coach in the NHL that keeps finding jobs (so excluding expiraments like Johnston). He values all the wrong things in players and is incapable of making good roster decisions because of it. Dubynsky, Callahan, and Jack Johnson are not USA caliber players by any stretch of the imagination. Abdelkader isn't either but I can understand giving him a spot to make the team rougher to play against because he's at least good at hockey. But even then I would have picked Kreider over him. No excuse for this farce.

What really sucks for the US team is that because of the kids team, it takes out the best US players.

Eichel, Gaudreau, Saad(don't remember if he made it), Larkin, Matthews, Jones.

I also can't believe that Zacha was left off the Czech team. Matthews or Laine haven't even been drafted yet, and they are on their teams. Czech team looks bad and Zacha could of helped.

That US team is a bundle of odd decisions. Be hilarious if Kessel wins the Conn Smythe and can't make this roster.

Although in reality anyone "snubbed" is actually pretty lucky. They actually get to go to training camp and not have to risk injury at this tournament. The NHL may think this will make everyone ok with them not going to the Olympics but...it really won't.

I'm going to be very sad if the NHL doesn't allow its players to play in the next Olympics. Not only does it just suck in its own right, but there's gonna be an outflow of talent of guys who want to rep their country internationally.

TB offers Stamkos 8 mil and he declined that in a state with no taxes. For us to get him, it would be 11-12 mil, if that. And UFA's can be signed to 7 year deals, not 8. We have the cap now, but Shero shouldn't be just throwing money around, just because he has it now.

Use the cap wisely.

I would prefer to go with Henrique, Zajac, Zacha down the middle in that order. There should be no rushing Zacha into the top 6 unless he shows he can play there. Let him play against lesser competition in the bottom 6.

I also would take Datsyuk and a guy like Jurco. Zacha and Jurco are both big, skilled guys and that could work. Keep Boucher in the top 6 to start the year. Wouldn't mind Stemp over guys like Okposo. And Cam would be a huge question mark, either trade him and fill that spot, or see how fast/early he gets injured and then fill it.

There was no scoring outside of 4-5 guys. That would give up 3 scoring lines.

Auvitu is a lefty and would be on the left side, and Severson is a righty and would be on the right side. Hopefully Severson will be the 3rd guy. Bring in a guy on the left side to help Severson or compliment him, on the 2nd pair and hopefully the PP. A guy like Campbell would be good, but Yandle would be better.

Not bad. I said awhile ago that if datsyuk does retire we should trade for that contract so we don't have to deal out stupid money. But I do like the idea of jurco. But wouldn't mind a Matt Martin or lucic someone to add some grit to our team with all these young guys we don't have a lot of size.

I could see Ray talking to goligoski I think he's a lefty and they are familiar with each other.

I'm not entirely surprised that palmieri wasn't included, if he had two seasons like this then I'm sure he'd be there.

i think they wanted to make the lineup that costs the most but with the least amount of quality.
