Good. Less chance of starting the season with injuries.

Now if we can make sure Price in in the press box or backing up that'd be great.

I'm kind of surprised RNH made the team.

He'll get injured right before the tournament anyways.

Chucky is surprising, Subban isn't. So long as there are other options they're not going to take a black, flashy player with an ego.

Seriously doubt race is the issue. Subban for everything good he does on the ice is still prone to untimely turnovers. Even though the good severely outweigh that bad, its a stigma he will have until he/MTL win convincingly.

I'm not saying it's THE issue, or even a prominent one, but it's part of the whole package PK represents that differs from the typical image of a hockey player. Subban is more or less the antithesis of a traditional hockey player. The fact that he plays in Montreal makes the contrast all the more evident, given that this franchise refuses to acknowledge it isn't the 1950's anymore.

We're talking about a sport/league that still has a debate ongoing about whether or not you should celebrate when you score a goal. Honestly golf is more progressive than hockey at this point.

I don't know if you watched the Blues in th PO, but Pietrangelo was pretty bad; in the WCF he was a turnover machine. PK has a bad rep and i would point this out over the exagerated turnovers issue.

whatever!! the canadiens in their current form don't deserve to have anyone on an "all star" team. only price has proven to be invaluable.

Not surprised by PK, he was a bubble player for this team given all the right hand shots that are available.

I am really surprised Chuckie did not make TNA... but then again, who knows what goes on in putting these teams together. Maybe they wanted more well rounded players.

Agree I don't think race is an issue. If Subban had the personality of John Tavares or Jonathan Toews (meaning a dead moth) his place on the team wouldn't even be up for discussion. I don't care a lick about this tournament because it's not real, it's just a cash grab but it's a shame that a player as electrifying as Subban won't be there from an entertainment standpoint.

I think Galchenyuk would have maybe made the US team had he been eligible.

nice-ish blog. too bad you never get any traction on this retarded site. saadella seems to always trump you by default. sad state of affairs. just shows how irrelevant the canadiens are. the torch has been passed to a couple of reporters. ho-hum.

That was a real below average draft that year. All you have to do is look at the two draft picks before Galchenyuk.

Saw him in junior. He had great talent but his gambling was questionable. It may have cost his junior team, the Belleville Bulls, a Memorial Cup.

How is it watching Fat Phil compete for the Cup while the Leafs pay his salary?

Laughable picks... but I'd rather see them fresh at the camp.

Habs got one of the best player in that draft so far (with Forsberg), glad he slipped to 3rd. He's progressing every year...reaching 30 goals scored last season.
