Deepest pockets in the league
Tons of cap space
Great crop of prospects including Matthews
Babcock
Shanahan and Lou
World class city (which he already knows because ITS HIS HOME)
Family is in TO
Trainers are in TO
Agent is in TO

The Leafs still need a couple of more years to compete for a playoff spot so if he wants to win a cup NOW, he's better off staying in Tampa or to another cup contender. Not sure how many cup contending teams have the cash to spend on him though.

That being said, I personally don't care if he goes to TO or not. The Leafs are doing fine building their team.

Quality of life and low cost of living . East Amherst had lowest crime rate in America for 6 straight years . And Financially your dollars go a lot further.

In the end Stamkos will sign with the team he wants to sign with. He said, as recently as yesterday, that he wants to stay in Tampa. He wants $72m ($9m. over 8 years) from the Bolts. Florida has no state personal income tax on earnings. Only Tampa can offer an 8 year deal (other teams can only offer 7 years.) Tampa takes on an average cap hit of $9m. if they resign Stamkos. In order for Toronto or Buffalo to match a Tampa offer of $9m over 8 years, they need to go close to $11m per season for 7 years.

the only issue with tampa is can they afford it. they have a lot of guys to resign and are pretty tight capwise.

That's why I added Lou and Shanahan as an important factor. They believe in protecting their players especially from the media. Believe it or not, some players like to be in the spot light.

both teams suck, its simple, sabres aren't that much better. theyre a little ahead with the rebuild but until one team wins something significant itll be just a battle of which fans gets more buthurt with the chirping.
