Islanders management made a list of guys they are interested in. And somehow you got word of interest in yaks through your source

So my question is this, are you implying that one of the small group of people in snows brain trust is feeding you information ?

Or are you implying that snow makes this kind of information widely known throughout the organization right down to janitors, and it's one of them that is your source ?

Or are you implying that snow made this public knowledge ?

Tell me you at least see the massive flaws and questions in any and all of these possibilities you're trying to sell us ek.

He's a (frank) of a lot better than his brothers at this point. Not giving him up for cheap.

Jordan Staal's contract is terrible. You're not getting much for him and he shouldn't be in CAR's long term plans so why not trade him for whatever you can while you're rebuilding?

I don't think Staal's contract is terrible. A legit 2C for $6M isnt all that bad. I get the term is long but a shut down center with offensive upside will still be a tradeable commodity in 4-5 years.

Hell, even if the Pens season end in a cup win, I would still try to trade Malkin for Staal + if they want to move on from him. Crosby-Staal-Bonino is still the best center group in the league.

Because the Canes have to hit the cap floor somehow and the guy had 48 points as a 2C, shutdown player?

His shooting percentage was only a little higher than average this year.

$6 million per year is not really a concern when you have 5 roster spots to fill and are $20 million below the cap floor.
