"If the season ends tonight there will certainly be some upset people in Pittsburgh. There will definitely be overreactions. Just remember where this team was on December 11th and where they are now. The Crosby and Malkin window is still wide open regardless of tonight’s events."
This is so true. Everyone needs to keep this in mind. |

Glad I had that chart to let me know that Letang played relatively poorly in Game 5. |

The idea that we should be thankful for where we are today because of where we were earlier in the season is a losers attitude.
We're here because we're good enough to be here, so lets win the f'n thing and quit prancing around the idea of losing like a bunch of twinkle toes around a bonefire!

"Twinkle toes around a bonfire"???? Isn't that an ideal situation?
I agree with you and think we'll win the series, just lost on your analogy. |

I think there will always be overreactions with any team, but it has to be a slight disappointment. You guys were the hottest team going into the playoffs and probably the favorite just under the Caps to come out of the East to play in the SCF. |

I hope making that stupid decision with Mr Beloved doesn't come back to haunt them
They need someone who knows how to close out a game. That is not one of Mr. Beloved's traits. |

@Brienstel, I mean it's a valid point. If we lose tonight there's gonna be a large contingency of people that come and talk about trading Malkin/Letang, how big of a bust the Kessel trade was (insert new rationalization now that he's been our best forward in the postseason), how we have no assets, and the Crosby/Malkin era is done, all after playing some pretty amazing hockey and making it to the ECF. Even if we lose tonight we should be confident heading into the next three/four years at least. Probability speaking, some of us will be dead in that span, so really the Pens are set for a lifetime. |

Fine, it's true. So what?
The team may have been nowhere on December 11th but they horribly under performed to get to nowwhere and now that doesn't matter. They got their poop together and made the playoffs and are putting on a great run.
The Crosby and Malkin window may still have plenty of years left but the they need to deliver. This one cant' really be blamed on Fluery... and certainly I wouldn't blame Crosby or Malkin per se. It's a team sport... but ultimately if they can't get off the mat here the fans should be pissed because why would you think they're going to perform better in next year's playoffs? |

Her hot season in has inflated her value. Take a look at her shooting percentage. It's unsustainable. I'd much rather go after Woodstock. Everyone thinks he sucks because he's undersized, but his underlying numbers are incredible. |

Nothing is certain in life besides death, taxes, and Crosby and Malkin are very good hockey players. |

IF they lose tonight there will definitely be some bashes but a lot of people wrote of this team earlier in the year with myself included in that..right now I'm a very proud Penguins fan to see how much they have turned it around and IF they are eliminated it was one hell of a run and couldn't be any prouder to be a Penguins fan, but it isn't over yet so go and get it Pens! Can't wait for game 7 cause its gonna be epic!!!! |

Exactly. It's been a great run that came out of nowhere. Its been quite enjoyable. Most of the band will be back again next year and the young guys another year older and everyone with another year's experience and chemistry playing together to build on. There's still a lot of positives if they lose tonight.
You just want to be amused by irrational overreaction. Your team blows. Worry about them. |
