Seems like a no brainer for Montreal to go after Yakupov. They need someone who plays their style and has that look. That look of a rat.

Not much , but the Oilers aren't eager to just dump him either. There has to be some other fairly touted prospects that have failed somewhat that may be of interest to the Oilers.

I'm pretty sure the Habs don't have any prospects anyone wants. Including the Habs.

Do the Oils really need prospects? Some depth at the blueline could be a start. Emelin + ?

I'm not sure how smart trading Yakupov by himself would be. He's not worth much by himself. I think he'd be more enticing as a sweetener to go along with either Eberle or RNH for a big ticket defenseman, which is what the Oilers need.

The Canadiens might be in a selling mood, so if you really want some craziness, you can try to go Yak, Hall + whatever for Subban.

This is the best bergefail can do? I'd rather he resign John Scott.

I'd say that's pretty close. Rumour around Edmonton at the deadline was they wanted a top end prospect around 22-24 that hasn't panned out for their team as well. Or two seconds which chairelli payed to get Brett Connolly. I'd say Eller and a 2nd is a good deal. Eller = second round pick in my view.

Oilers wanna trade down and I'd imagine Montreal would like to get Dubois.
Yak + 4th overall for 10th + ?

He sucks, but even if he still has potential we'll never find out because Therrien will bury him on the 4th line and then the press box.

Eller doesn't fit in Edmonton. No need at this time for another C. And after his comments from 2 years ago I doubt they want him in their locker room.

The Oilers have enough bottom 3 defensemen right now. Emelin would not be a piece they'd be interested in. They're looking to upgrade their top 3 to move people into their proper roles and Emelin wouldn't fit.
