Lol... Eller's perhaps the Habs most polarizing player. He was given a chance this year in a bigger offensive role but could not perform any better. He's a very good 3rd line C but that's it...

too bad for eller. if he had a cap hit of 2.0million he would be much more desirable. at 3+ too expensive for less than 30 points.
a useful playing.. just not useful for what we need in mtl.
the job belongs to mccarron and DD needs to go also.

I agree. Not sure why anyone looks for him to be anything more.

Lars Eller sucks at Defense as much as he does at offense.

Decent trade chip? Not so sure.

So yeah, he sucks.

I've always viewed him as a decent 3rd line C and PK player. He looks uncomfortable with the puck and doesn't seem to have any inclination to step up offensively. Like others I think he would be significantly less polarizing if he cost under 3/year. As you mentioned in the blog there are too many bottom 6 Cs on this team and DD, Eller both cost too much for that role.

Those are very convincing arguments.

Don't bother. He'll just come back with more crap that will frustrate you even more.

He's a terrible 3rd line center and you know it.

Terrible offensively and very limited defensively.

Because our brilliant GM gave him a contract fit for someone who brings more to the table.

Your right he's so bad he's a professional hockey player lol i will say though Eller is a third line centermen. Typical Mtl trade a super valuable Halak at the time for Eller, just sad. Imagine now if it was Price in that trade and not Halak quite scary if you think about it.
