I'd definitely like to see Q get given a chance this coming camp. At the very least, he earned his right to play in Albany.

My one concern with Blackwood is that he's a complete head case. It doesn't mean that much considering how many great NHL goalies fit into that category, but it would be nice if he were more emotionally stable. I guess you can't have everything.

Really happy about drafting Q. At first I was pissed NJ passed on Brandon Lemieux but that was more of a sentimental thing for me. Here we are a couple years later and Q is one of the Devils more promising prospects who I am certainly looking forward too. Same thing goes for Blackwood. Shero drafting him in the second last season to me was a bit of a head scratcher considering how historically deep the draft was labeled as and New Jerseys desperate need for offensive prospects. Yet again, here I am a year later certainly pleased with the Blackwood selection. If this kid continues to get better and develope, New Jersey may be looking at 4 or 5 decades of solid goaltending. Shero has done alright in his short time here and New Jersey is most definitely on the right track to returning to success.

I wanted Brendan Lemieux as well I'm not as disappointed now as I was then, but keep in mind, Lemieux had 106 goals and 189 points in his 209 game OHL career and has put up 3 goals in 5 games in the AHL. Jury is still very much out on who was the better pick there. Just glad it seems that Q is on the right path to becoming a legit NHL forward.

I hear yah. Q has also drawn comparison to Adam Henrique, which certainly isn't a bad thing. I'd like to see him get a shot in the AHL next year and if he continues to impress down there, maybe get a mid season call up when the injury bug inevitably hits. I'm talking about you Mr. Cammalleri.

Doesn't Toronto owe us a 3rd round pick as compensation for Lou? On every site it's not listed but our compensation that we have to give for Hynes is.

I think Lou gets to choose what year it happens and I believe he has until 2018 so don't expect it until then.

At 30th overall, very satisfied with Q. Henrique went to the memorial cup, too... so comparisons continue. Except Henrique got there and won it twice

Aren't the spitfires generally better than the wheat kings? Apart from Nolan Patrick at least.

I had a hard time trying to figure out exactly what they meant there lol because right now Brandon is a waaaaay better team then the spitfires are lol but yeah the spits have some nice alums like spezza, hall, Ellis, Rico and I'm sure I'm still missing big names.
