Tough way to loose a game.
But hell of a series. |

This is going to come off as sour grapes, based on my allegiance, but I didn't see that hit as dirty at all. I saw it as one really big player leaning into one not so big player and the not so big player got steamrolled. It could have been called for interference but the head has not the primary target.
It's unfortunate that it almost directly led to the game winning goal, and said goal was scored by the aggressor in this exchange, but that's hockey. Islanders are far from out of the series though; just have to stop pretending to be like their inner city rivals and giving up last minute goals. |

Boyle should be suspended, but Hickey was not lying on the ice when Boyle scored. |

im sorry but I didn't think it was penalty either.
Bottom line is our isles deserved to lose this one. you concede game tying goal in last 34 second of game. How many OT do you expect to win.
Isles benefitted from Refs Swallowing the whistle in OT vs Florida. So they shouldn't be complaining. Just be made that they sat back and let Tampa tie it.
We are at almost halfway point of playoffs and isles are making early regular season mistakes. We dominated this game in all aspects, and let a few breakdowns cost us the game.
On a positive note - Hickey = Best hit in the playoffs? Not bad for what many here on this board called a undersized outmuscled dman that was too small.
Also did Josh Bailey Score 2 goals and we lost? how can that be. |

I hope that isles breakdown yesterday doesn't cost us this series. Only saving grace we can hope for is we destroy tampa on Friday. This tampa lineup still cringes everytime cizikas line is on the ice.
if you ask me Cizikas has been best players in this series thus far.

Best fourth line in the league; has been for two years. They make their presence felt in more ways than just hits; all can play the game fairly well. |

Clean hit. Not the reason they lost. Move on to game 4 |

Clean hit. Maybe a bit late but clean. If you suspend that then you would have to suspend Hickey for laying out Drouin as well (another clean hit). |

Just about every Islander fan agrees with this. You think we're panthers fans who are still crying weeks later? |

No worries. It was responding to the blog which clearly said it was a late hit and should have been penalized for interference
