James - your comment of "It's ridiculous that as far as the sport has come in analytic analysis that a guy still has to be fired because of the random outcome of a single game. " is a bit off base in my opinion. Reason being, not only has Bruce lost the last four game 7's he has played in, he has also lost all four game 6's of those series.

I think there is a problem with a coach if he fails to close out 4 consecutive series in which his team has led 3 games to 2 each time. That to me is a coaching issue

Biggest disappointment is worrying about how terrible the department of player safety is.

The focus should be on games, not whether a guy gets the right amount of suspension or not

Most disappointing: Anaheim's fate. But I am not disappointed in the loss of Boudreau. Hindsight might hurt on this one, but I agree with Crusher68 that his consistent playoff failures earned him the boot. Had he gotten to the conference finals, I would have been fine keeping him on for at least another year, but a first round loss is a massive failure and everyone knew the writing was on the wall for him. This is definitely not a surprise.
2nd most disappointing: Panthers loss. Not a true fan of them or the Islanders, but they were fun to watch this year and I thought they'd make the 2nd round at least. Sort of like last year's Flames.

Toews not having a single goal and struggling at times at the dot. He is paid top dollar to show up when it matters most.

Most disappointing wasn't that the Kings lost, but howthey lost... blown lead in game 1 after starting the game like gang busters and then proceeding to let the first SOG find twine in each of the next several games??? Carter taking a stupid senseless after whistle penalty that let the Sharks take control in that game, and then in an elimination game, getting behind the 8-ball down 3-0 after one period??? what the (frank) was that poop??? Kings just seemed disinterested and DS seemed to take out the wrong players after game 1. Continuing to pair Scuderi and Schenn together was an exercise of stupidity and insanity. Tyler Toffoli trying to play a disruptor/agitator game rather than focusing all of his energy into playing an offensive shooters game was also annoying to watch. Not 1 SJ dman was made to suffer at any point, the Kings forecheck was always a step behind and the top players must've had better plans for April and June. For (frank)s sake, even Quick let in some very stoppable goals. Oh well, can't win the SC every year, but powerhouse teams should be able to get out round 1, even if it takes 7.

Yeah. On DS I really felt Gravel should have gotten into a game and take out Scuderi. I'm curious to know if John Stevens or Payne will take over and if the players will respond to them better.

Bruce's Ducks closed out Dallas in 6 a couple of years ago. So it's 4 out of 5. At least give the guy correct stats.

This too. The big guns have got to score. Whether it's Toews. Perry. Kopitar. And even the lame ass Brown (I really thought if the Kings had a chance that guy would have to step up).

Yeah that was wishful thinking with Brown.

Detroit is the biggest disappointment, I hope that within my lifetime I would see a Detroit v Nashville Stanley cup series... I loved to hate Detroit when they are in the west, now I'm just stuck with a bunch of teams that I hate Chicago and Dallas.

You should look at the save percentages of the goalies he's faced. Boudreau just happened to randomly lose four times in game sevens. But that's just something that sometimes is going to happen. It makes to sense to read in to four games more than the other 1000 he's coached.
