You guys watching the Caps series? Seems like a lot of crazy bad/dirty play.

Carter spears a guy laying on the ground in game 2. Orpik hits Maatta late and high in game 2. Wilson's late kneeing incident on Sheary. Just to name a few.

Very close game Friday. Stars showing the safer style they played in the last 20 or so. Lots of big saves by Elliot. Should be fun to see the adjustments. Chat with y'all after the game.

Orpik's hit was the ugliest, surely he gets a game for that. Unfortunately the result is always weighed and Maatta was out of it.

Excellent summary. And agree that Fabbri's inexperience cost them in Game 1. Aside from Game 5 against the Hawks, Fabbri has not added much offensively since the playoffs started.

Blues shooting 100% through the first 11minutes of the period. Lehtonen with no saves yet. Need more shots.

what the f Blues. They started simply dumping the puck in with almost 8 minutes to go. Did they have even one shot on goal during that time? Maybe this strategy works against the Jets or Canucks, but not against the best scoring team in the league.

Yeah. Not a good plan. Looked like they had the flu, were gassed or something.

Fabbri even though he has some assists, is showing he is a rookie and needs some weight training. He is all finesse and its PLAYOFFS. He looks weak. I like his line though. Brouwer is a beast!!!!

Really glad to escape with the W today, much needed. I hope the team can back up Backes' talk about needing to play a full 60. It also wouldn't hurt to hang on to a two goal lead once in a while.

Over/Under 1.5 jumbotron appearances for Tony X on Tuesday?

He could be pretty special in a couple of years.

Brouwer needs to bury the knife deep on that shot he didn't lift at all. Niemi moved well but it was only a save because it was a poor shot given the circumstances.

He didn't lift it and he put it right into his right knee area, even without Niemi moving he makes that save.

The short shifting "defensive" strategy toward the end of the third was bogus. 100% removed any opportunity to have sustained pressure on offence. Getting the puck just to give it away, get a change, and go back to defense is going to wear your team down faster than the opponent.

Fabbri could be VERY GOOD in a few years, not a knock against him, he is only 20 or something like that. Just needs to get some weight on his side and keep his speed. He has the intelligence.

Brouwer or Backes? We cannot keep both. But thats a story for another day. Dallas has some defense even though all year long that was an issue. Blues needs to get more shots on net. Niemi starts in game 3. How can we solve him?
