This most likely was a mutual decision. What's BB going to say? "Well if Perry would have shown up we wouldn't be having this discussion" He has to take the fall. Let that soak into the players minds how they failed their coach!

I think removing Theodore & playing Stoner in game 7 was a mistake. Stoner & Despres were brutal & were essentially benched following that 1st Nashville goal. Certainly not the reason Anaheim lost but a questionable coaching decision regardless.

I don't dislike Beaudreau but someone had to pay the price for another game 7 collapse.

Much cheaper to fire the coach than Getzlaf and Perry.

2nd time # 10 has gone ghost in a series in the past couple seasons - if he doesn't score he is useless - no foot speed / sucks @ D / they better have some better than Bruce in mind - I heard Carlyle could be considered ... I hope not & no Crawford either -

I think that makes two coaches that have been fired after playing the preda this season.

Wooooooowwwwww

Getzlaf and perry next? How short sighted. The ducks have been one of the most dominant teams the past few years, made it wcf last year, Boudreau had this team do a 180 this year....

I almost wish the ducks the worst of luck for the future for this dumb (frank) move. Obviously there's been speculation of this, didn't think it'd actually happen

Huet, Theodore/Neuvirth, Vokoun..... (OV wasn't good in 2013)

Varlamov + Holtby not in nets.

Put this guy with a #1 goalie - certainly BB has to make some adjustments to a defensive minded / checking team to be able to find scoring without opening up - but I think this game 7 stuff he'll have a chance to redeem himself from

If goaltending is the problem... is he any better off in Ottawa? Anderson isn't getting any younger, and the Hamburglar didn't exactly light it up like the previous season.

He had Gibson and Anderson this year in Anaheim and still didn't get it done in game 7.

Can't keep blaming goalies and the players.

His record is what it is by now.

They'll be hiring from the farm team. Dallas Eakins back in the NHL next year.

But how could you not blame the players? Perry? Despres?

It was on Boudreau and the forwards. The coach revealed that he couldn't motivate his team or figure out line combinations that would break Nashville's defense (which was quite good), and Getz and Perry had poor performances. I think the GM needs to brings in a pure goal scorer, but unless the Walrus (assuming he's promoted) can figure out this playoff (motivation?) problem, the team will continue to underperform. What is the fix, aside from a new coach?

Perry is a pure goal scorer.

To me, Perry is more of a goal-scoring agitator than a pure goal scorer (sniper). He's great, but his scoring prowess appears to have declined while his ability to agitate remains steady, meaning he takes more penalties per goal (I'm just guessing at that and am probably incorrect). By pure goal scorer, I'm thinking of someone like Johnny Gaudreau (RFA), whose sole purpose is to light it up. Stamkos is available, but we'd have to have a firesale.
