Good work Smashville, love watching this team. Kind of adopted you guys as my second team since moving to Nashville a while ago. Glad to see a bright future.

Good job Predators! Looking forward to your series with us next. I think it'll be good fun. We're both Cup-less teams and even though I want the Sharks to advance, I'd MUCH rather lose to you than to the Ducks if it were to happen. There's a VERY good chance the West will be represented by a non-Cup winning team in the final, and that is AWESOME.

Good game. Good series Preds. I was there last night and knew once that first goal went in that I was going to go home unhappy. On paper, there is no reason the Ducks should have lost this series. Ducks are deeper at every position. But that's why the game is played on ice. Preds showed more heart. Not sure if the Ducks are lacking in player leadership or coaching. Probably both. But it doesn't take away from what the Preds accomplished. The better team in this series won.

I wouldn't say the ducks were deeper at every position... I'd take the pred's defensive group over Anaheim's every single series.

I would take the Preds top 2 D over the Ducks top 2 D. But as a 6 man unit, I would take the Ducks as a whole over the Preds.

I agree we began better and we were the better team in Goal when it mattered much. HOWEVER, I don't think we were clearly the better team. We made a few more plays at opportune times.

We were dominated for much of the last 2 games we won. Especially the last 40 minutes last night. It was just a case of we made a few plays the Ducks didn't make. They couldn't score 5v5 which out-weighed our pathetic PP.

I wonder will we be full of confidence and ready to go Friday night or will we exhale after that series and the Preds be the team off to the slow start?

I hope it's the former.

Since my Kings barely showed and now that the Hawks and Ducks are out too, I can watch the rest of the POs in peace...
My take on the next series is that it will be very close but I think the Preds will take it. They are much more disciplined than the Kings and that will mean many fewer PP chances/conversions for the Sharks who will be beaten 5v5.

I am a little worried that the Sharks are rested compared to the Preds, but I also like the fact that there isn't a long break between games for Peks. He goes on hot streaks and right now, he's on one. A long break would be a rhythm buster. Time to ice down (I'm looking at you 38!)...

Nashville was clearly the better team?

Not really. You may have deserved the win but the teams were very equal. Nashville dominated 5 v 5 but special teams was clearly the Ducks (and very important in the play offs). It was actually a miracle that the Ducks didn't make the equalizer in the third game and didn't make it through to the next round.

Nice battle though good luck against the Sharks.
