Thornton and Burns have great playoff beards. Clearly setting them apart from the pack. |

Although not on the Sharks, Eaves is rocking a very nice beard as well! |

I'd prefer them over anyone else in the West.
(frank) the blues especially. - Iggysbff
Think I`m with you on the Blues. don`t think there`s a player in the league I despise more than Steve Ott. |

Nice blog, sir. Spot on.
ESPN? LMAO...they're no longer legitimate hockey sports reporters...they haven't been for at least a decade. |

Consider the source haha... ESPN... Yikes
The next round will probably be the toughest test for the Sharks (not to knock on Dallas or St Louis).
Anaheim and Nashville both match up quite well against the Sharks. It will be very tough to come out of a 7 game series against either of those team and be on top. But that's why they play the games!!!
Personally, I am rooting for Nashville (even though they absolutely destroyed us this regular season). |

Speaking of Cup favorites (which we shouldn't be until we make it out of Round 2)...
Is it even a question that whoever wins the Wash/Pitt war will represent the East? Those two teams just look so much more dominant than any other team out there.
My guess is Anaheim blows another home Game 7 tonight and we play Nashville. We will probably lose in 7 games to that team but it will be a good series.
That leaves St Louis beating Dallas... Dallas is fun to watch but they suck at defense and their two goalies are hit and miss (that doesn't win championships) ask us Sharks fans about it.
I would then say that St Louis beats Nashville setting up either Pittsburgh or Washington getting a good chance at getting the East just their 2nd Stanley Cup in the last 7 seasons. |

Nashville is very beatable.
But I agree with Washington or Pitt mcoming out of the East. Hope it's Washington and they win. I really don't want Pitt winning or the Blues. |

At this point I'd consider the Blues to be the favorite. They look like the deepest, most complete team in the league... Even over Washington. |

The only 2 teams that San Jose struggled against during the season is Dallas and Nashville.
I'm not including Anaheim on the list because it was a low scoring season for the 2 teams 4GF and 5GA so this one can go the distance unlike the match against the Kings where we knew during the season that they had the King's numbers.
Dallas was 9GF and 12GA
Nashville was 6GF and 10GA

If San Jose can continue the way they're playing I can't see them losing to St Louis unless Elliott continues to steal games for the team.
The only telling sign I've seen from San Jose is when you're on your game the team knows how to chip the puck out of your own zone but when your team gets flustered they tend to ice the puck frequently.
Even though I still hate your team with a passion I hope you guys win one for Martin Jones. He deserves the recognition for his hard work. |

Don't care who wins. I think SJ can beat both. Neither as easily as we beat LA but win the series none the less.
I think we can all agree we are rooting for a 5OT game tonight! |
