Good write up. What happens next? Does the hope carry over to next season?

I think it's important to point out that Torches interim tenure although short was not unlike Yeos for the season. Wild started out something like 20 - 11 under Torch(similar to Yeos start) and then ended the regular season in crash and burn like fashion on a 5 game losing streak which extended to 7 into the postseason. So basically under torch the Wild ended the season with a record of 3 - 9. Not exactly a finish to feel good about. (also similar to the end of Yeos tenure)

Especially after deciding not to show up for a pivotal game 6 against Dallas until the 3rd period, yet still willing themselves to score 4 times making Stars fans, coaches and players sweat a little bit.

In essence that game was the epitome of their season as a whole. Hot and cold, inspired and uninspired.

Not too many playoff teams that won't have cap troubles next season. Fletch will definitely be looking to move salary this off season.

cap trouble is such a stupid and mute point.. the wild have 8mil in space and only need to sign a 4th line, backup goalie and dumba.. which is plenty to do that.. that's if fletch doesn't make any moves which he will. how many playoff teams have cap space?? 0, the one's that do are at their own self imposed cap like florida.. my guess is either brodin, scandella are moved for a cheaper top nine forward like yakapov for 2.5. i wouldn't mind seeing dumba moved before his value crashes and i like rielly better, dumba is all over the place just go,go,go without thinking, low hockey IQ.. i'd like to see olofsson up next year instead of watching prosser again

I think the only word "hope" means for this team is there is "hope" a large number of players on this squad will not be in green and red next season. The chemistry is just not there to play 60 minutes. We should not settle for just "making the playoffs". We ONLY hope we win the cup.

Not really... Look at the Blackhawks, they racked up 21 mil on 2 players and still were a dangerous team, just takes the right moves/players
